Questions about the course
How much time will it take?
The video tuition part of the course is 3 hours. You can work through these at your own pace and in your own time. For the practical part of the course, you will do a self-treatment for 21 days which will take 45mins per day. After that, you can do a self-treatment as often as you wish – ideally every day.
Will it work for me?
I have been working with Reiki energy for over 15 years and it has worked for all of my previous students.
Do I have to have certain religious beliefs to be able to do the course?
Reiki is non-denominational, so anyone can benefit from it. Reiki is spiritually guided universal life force energy – at the beginning of the treatment, you call on whomever you pray to, so for instance if you are Christian, you can call on God, the Holy Spirit and Jesus to help guide the healing energy. If you are Buddhist, you can can call on Buddha, and so on. Many people like to ask Archangel Michael to bring in his protection, or some people to prefer to surround themselves with God’s white light for protection – you can do whichever resonates with you.

What is Reiki
Reiki (pronounced Ray Key), comes from the words “rei”, meaning universal and “ki”, the Japanese for qi, the life force that is inherent in everything. When this life force is flowing freely, we are healthy and happy, when it is low we are far more susceptible to both physical illness and emotional stress.
In Reiki Therapy, this universal energy is activated by the practitioner and passed on to the recipient where it replenishes areas that have been depleted of energy.
During a session, the energy enters through the practitioner and flows out through the hands into the client to help to heal and balance spirit, mind and body. This hands on complementary therapy energy treatment can assist with lowering stress and increasing overall health and wellbeing.
Ingrid has experience working with clients from all walks of life since 2007 – in particular, people going through stressful circumstances such as: divorce, infertility, bereavement and serious illness, including cancer patients and their carers.
At the First Degree level you gain basic instruction and will be attuned to the healing rays so that you can start to explore working with Reiki and do self-treatments on yourself.
